Happy Groundhog Day!! Did Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow?

February 2nd is sometimes one of the hated days of the year(one of my favorite since its after my birthday and have a meteorology degree). If you are interested in February 2nd.

Every year on February 2nd, people around the U.S. turned their attention to a groundhog named Punxsutawney Phil to see if he will see his shadow or not.

The verdict is in.  Sorry everybody.   saw his shadow and that means 6 more week of winter.  To tell the truth, it really hasn't felt like winter here in Mississippi.  We probably got we might see one or two times of winter, but lately.  Its been feeling like spring.

Out of the 129 prediction Punxsutawney Phil has made.  He didn't see his 18 times.  The last time he saw he didn't see his shadow was just last year.

I also recommend the movie called Groundhog Day.  Its stars Bill Murray, Andie McDowell, and Chris Elliot.  Bill Murray's character Phil Connors is stuck in a time loop where when he wakes up, its still February 2nd.  Its a great movie.
